It is a mark of shame that in 2023, in a country like ours, so many people have to rely on food banks. In March I visited Argentina and my sister told me about the community kitchen, where she helps, in one of the most deprived areas of Buenos Aires. I told her about my volunteering in one community kitchen in SW London. Same needs, same number of people. Tory austerity is levelling down not up.
